Get ready for better health and better moods!

Tap dancing is one the most enjoyable ways to work your body. It’s a workout that actually makes you smile! It will also keep your mind sharp by challenging you to remember new steps and combinations.

A man once contacted me to let me know that dancing with my videos had helped him lose 60 pounds! He told me he felt like those videos had saved his life because his weight was such a struggle for him.

Teachers

Tap teachers - this package gives you the basics for teaching the advanced-beginner level. Every lesson shows me breaking down each step and also includes a combination putting together all the steps from that lesson (typically about 3 or 4). Most lessons also have a warm-up at the beginning which utilizes the steps taught in previous lessons - this way you’re reinforcing the steps the students are learning.

If you’re new to teaching or you just want to add some structure this package will help with that.

These lessons win people’s hearts!

We love making you happy!

“I am very pleased with your DVDs and your teaching methods. I am on lesson 6 of the advanced beginner series and I do the Tap workout video, level 2. I love it and I look forward to the intermediate series.”

You’ll have these forever.

This is a buy once own forever deal - no subscriptions here.

If someday you can’t find your files or something happened to them, just email us and we’ll send you new ones for free.

You can download the videos for offline viewing.

A word from Rod:

I want to give you a more in-depth and personal view on what this lessons package is like.

First and foremost expect to have fun! I’m an upbeat tap dance teacher and that comes through in the videos. One of the things I feel really good about it is how motivated people tell me they feel when doing my lessons. I even had a student tell me they put my lessons on in the background while studying because they were so motivating!

Another thing you can expect is an improvement in your mood and well being. I’ve literally had a few customers tell me my lessons helped them get out of a depression! When you hear something like that it gives deep meaning to what you’re doing. I certainly can’t make any guarantees but I’d be willing to bet that after you do each lesson you’ll feel better than before you started. Tap dancing is fun after all!

If you did our beginner lessons series (highly recommended) this will continue on perfectly from where those lessons left off. If you haven’t done those lessons make sure you’re up to speed on all the steps we learned in the beginner series (you can find a list on this page - just scroll down to see the list).

Just as in the beginner series, I break each new step down slowly and clearly and go over it many times so you can really master the step and get comfortable with it. This way you never feel rushed, or behind. That makes it a lot more fun! When I teach combinations (short dances), I teach them slowly and I review the footwork many times and we dance them many times with the music - not just once! Once is NEVER enough.

I do have one word of caution for you though - don’t tap on concrete or on tile laid over top of concrete. Just the other day a lady emailed me that her back or knees were hurting (I forget which) and asking should she get a tap board instead of tapping in the garage. YES! Don’t tap on the garage floor - it’s so bad for your body.

You don’t have to buy a fancy tap floor either - get some foam and put a piece of plywood on top of it - at least that way you have some cushion. If you’ve got a hard wood floor at home you don’t mind scratching up (it will get dented and scratched - guaranteed!) go ahead and tap on that - that’s assuming it’s not laid directly over concrete without some type of elevated subfloor.

A lot of the customers I talk to do each lesson in our advanced-beginner package multiple times before moving on to the next. They tell me this really helps them cement the steps in their mind and body and better prepares them for the next lesson.

Also these lessons build cumulatively. The steps you learn in the first lesson will show up in the second lesson and so on. So mastering each lesson makes you more prepared for the ones to come.

Now of course some of my customers are more free spirits just doing it for the fun of it and not super serious about getting the technique down perfectly and that works great too. You really have the option to approach it the way that works best for you.

Having said that I do go into detail as far as how to do the steps technically correct. You will have all the info you need on that front - and if you ever have a question that the videos don’t answer you can always email or call me. Some students even video themselves doing a step they’re having trouble with so I can analyze it and give them feedback. One lady got her pullbacks that way (don’t worry if you don’t know what those are - you will learn them in the lessons)!

So at the end of the day I think you’re going to have a great time with these lessons. If you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to me any time. Enjoy those lessons!
