Capezio Tap Sneakers

Having used these from about 2003-2009 I can speak from a lot of direct experience about these shoes. First of all let me say why I started using them in the first place; COMFORT!

I teach anywhere from 4-7 hours in a day and especially on those long days I need cushion. Teaching is what I do for a living so I'm pounding on my feet all the time. So from the standpoint of offering good comfort and shock absorption they are great!

However, most other aspects of this shoe are not so good. The taps themselves are so curved that only a tiny part of the tap can touch the floor at any one time. This results in very quiet tap sounds expecially from the heels. For this reason alone I don't recommend these shoes unless, like me, you need the comfort.

Also the arch support is severely lacking. There are only two relatively thin pieces of rubber that go along the inside and outside of your arch to offer support. However in the middle of the arch there is nothing but cloth. Not good! Overall I think these are poorly designed but may be useful if you need lots of cushion.
